LocalSiteCheck is a free website health check tool currently in beta, aimed at helping small local businesses understand and improve their websites. By using this tool, you agree to the following terms.
Your agreement to use this tool
By entering a website address and clicking "Check my website", you confirm that:
- You own the website, or have permission from the owner, to have it reviewed by this tool.
- You agree to us fetching and analysing the publicly available pages of that website in order to generate your results, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Only check websites you're responsible for
Please only run a check on your own website, or one you have permission to check. The tool fetches and analyses publicly available pages, but it's intended for business owners reviewing their own site — not for checking other people's websites without their knowledge.
How the results are generated
Your results combine two types of findings:
- Straightforward technical checks (such as security, mobile-friendliness, and broken links).
- Findings written by an AI model that reviews how clearly your page communicates with visitors.
The AI-generated findings are produced automatically and, while generally accurate, may occasionally be mistaken, miss something, or not fully reflect your site. We review these findings ourselves before any work begins, so please treat them as a helpful starting point for a conversation rather than a guaranteed audit.
The "Help me fix this" service
If you ask us to help with the findings, we'll do our best to look into and address as many of them as we reasonably can. During our beta, this service is offered free of charge to a limited number of local businesses, in exchange for an honest review once the work is done.
We can't guarantee that every finding will be fixed, that fixes will be completed by a specific date, or that any particular business outcome (more enquiries, higher rankings, and so on) will result. We'll always let you know what we've done and what, if anything, we weren't able to address.
No warranty
This tool is provided "as is", free of charge, during the beta period. We make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate and available, but we can't guarantee it will be fault-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for every website.
Changes to these terms
As this service is in active development, these terms may be updated from time to time. The "last updated" date above will reflect the most recent version.
